The Block Grant Process is the process by which funds for projects such as building, operating and developing, and for grant programs are given off on a monthly basis, usually monthly during the first four months of the calendar year.
Project funding is given to people who meet the criteria for a grant if their work meets the applicable criteria. However, for funding projects, the term funding varies based on which department or agency owns the project. For projects with grants that are directly or indirectly funded by other sources, such as local property taxes, local government programs, and private capital projects that are directly or indirectly funded, the term funding may be limited to a portion of the total total project funding.
Project Grants
Project grants were granted in all or a portion of fiscal years 2002, 2003 to the date of the previous financial year, 2014. The purpose of this program is to fund new or proposed projects, services or projects based on the criteria specified in this schedule, subject to eligibility requirements as determined by the department.
The term eligible projects includes any of the following
Construction of new houses or other buildings.
Construction of new buildings.
Construction of new roads or bridges.
Construction of new schools or other public buildings.
Construction and demolition of existing or former public buildings.
Construction and salvage and renovation of existing or new or former structures.
Project approval of new or proposed projects.
Project completion.
New or existing infrastructure.
Project quality evaluation and funding.

Section 7-19. Planning of the future of housing and the construction of housing units.
