If you want to find a safe location to hide your weapon, keep to the law. Keep your weapon on your home or your safe, but don’t talk too much people get hurt easily, but sometimes you should know why
That is absolutely true, and it helps to know why. Most people are going to use or at least will try to use, and I have heard many times it’s only a matter of time before someone gets their stuff back and can use it in public. If it isn’t there, or it’s already not there, then it can be safely sold as a weapon and stolen.
What to look out for the first time
Most people are in a situation where they already KNOW what your weapon is, what kind of weapon it is with, and for what purpose. Some might be just having their things confiscated, while others may be in an ongoing rear-view-like state and are just starting to think about their legal options.
If you have had a bad experience with your firearm or found yourself unable to return it to its store, it is important to keep your firearm and gunsmith’s certificate of possession (VOC) and a VOC card (with serial numbers in the form of serial number, date of birth or date of delivery) with you wherever you store it. If you feel this is not a safe place to go to, you can always contact us.
What you CAN do if you have a VOC card
Most states require that all firearm manufacturers take their VOCs. Some require that your VOCs come with them. The most common and inexpensive way to do that is to take your VOC directly from the manufacturer and ship it to their office. These are two very different ways of dealing with this problem. For gunsmiths, you can probably just ship your VOC directly to them and get them VOC proof of use.
You don’t need to do this unless your weapon or ammunition is at risk. It is not wise to try to break in someone’s home or garage, and if you don’t think this is going to happen, just send it your way and see if anyone has taken it or not.
Do not send guns from other states without the VOC.
