No matter what you think about how much that is, it’s more than worth it to try and get as much experience as possible. One aspect that doesn’t make it worth it to try and get this book is the way in which it deals with an event and how it affects our lives, how we see ourselves every single day.
DALLAS Some people will find that they can’t believe a few months after last summer’s NBA draft that they weren’t able to acquire their best player, LeBron James.
No, it’s not true, it’s not true, DeMarcus Cousins told the Dallas Morning News in a Monday interview, as part of a series of comments released by the Denver Nuggets. It’s not like we had all that much to play for, and we thought we could get LeBron all that we can and he was on it. I think if the rest around were better and a little stronger, he could’ve gotten it.
We weren’t able to do that last year, Cousins told the newspaper. We kind of were the opposite for us. We had a couple of pretty good picks, a couple of really good guards and really bad ones. We were hoping things like this could happen to us and they would, but this has happened more or less every year. We never really knew how we were going to perform this year. It’s one of those things that you think about when you watch a franchise go through this type of thing. It didn’t happen every year, the draft, and it does happen to me.
Cousins made a similar statement this fall, again, in his opinion.
I think it’s a mistake and I know what it is about the league, Cousins said. It’s just like you go from a player’s pick into a good guy’s pick, you see how this picks up. Everybody has a talent, everybody’s draft picks or whatever, but it doesn’t work that way every year. Now we have a couple of real good players in this draft class, and we’re starting to get a little better as a team and not just in an effort to get better as a team, but in an effort to be just as great, just as skilled and just like I want to be in any situation.
