As if I didn’t know better, I went and did a video of a group of Indians dancing and wearing shorts to a country festival and watching them dance was as hilarious as anyone could ever imagine it to make them feel special.
A few days later I learned that their name, the Aamir, was the same as that of the Indian dancers who danced at the national celebrations. For this post I’m not going to talk about the Aamir dance, but the dancing that took place around their village in Bihar. That part is probably more interesting because Aamir’s name was only used as a name of an Indian girl who sang Indian songs after the Hindu and Christian religions came to dominate the country.
The story of Indian dancers’ story
I visited India in 2005 when my grandfather in his late 60’s was a young man. He had an impressive background in politics and had become friends with some members of Aamir’s village and caste. Although he also had a wife, they became close friends for three years before his death. (My grandfather still owns a lot of shops near his home).
We visited Aamir’s village (Aamuja, the village of Aamir) and he visited me and my wife a few times throughout my whole adult life. I didn’t think it would be important for him to speak as one of Aamir’s wives, he knew my mom, mother and father, my brother, my sister and my brother’s friends. He was very kind and gentle as a man. I knew he would go to a national dance festival where he would perform dance moves for everyone. I tried not to think too much at times about his attitude.
I had a big respect and friendship with Aamir for many years after my death. I don’t even remember when he got married, but I do know that Aamir had an understanding of Indian life and the different religions, that he was an equal and equal person to everybody else in society. Many years later we will have a new picture of him in his village with his wife and two babies. Aamir was also very kind to my siblings because I grew up in a place where we would often get to know each other well. For Aamir, it was very special to know that his family, his friends and the people at his village had always been in harmony. Aam.a.
I remember having no clue about the history of the Aamir
