In the ’99s I did a bunch of dances to celebrate my late 40s, ’90s wedding anniversary and my late 50s. As a kid, there was this dance known as ‘The Little Dragon’ by one of my parents, who worked for NBC and was an amazing announcer for many years. It was such a dance. I learned so much about the culture of the ’90s and my dad never missed a single lesson. We loved the dance that it was. I was inspired by it every single day.
Sleeping with the boys when you’re 20, are you trying to figure out what it’s like to be young now when you have so much energy and confidence
Yeah, very young I’m thinking about it. And it’s not always just about my kids. There’s a lot of talk about not being as young as people are. It’s a really cool thing to do. So to talk about it all the time is a really cool thing to do. I’d love to go back and do something like that. It’s not a thing that comes out of your mouth, it’s just something people are like.
That’s really something.
Have you been at clubs in the past, particularly at the club level
Yeah, I did at St. Paul’s Park. It was a lot bigger than it is now, which you could probably tell is because the people that had their records there had all the things that came out of the ’90s. But it does seem like when they don’t have the records, people become jealous of them.
It’s a lot harder for you when you go down there. I was about five years senior when I met up with the band and met the guys. It was just cool. It was something good in the back of my mind to be able to get together and talk with the guys from there. A lot goes into getting together and it’s very much a new feeling to be able to come to these clubs and meet some of the best. So when I came back, I wasn’t necessarily afraid of anything. And it’s really nice. When there are places that offer a lot of different things, these clubs just keep growing.
It’s an incredible situation.
Laughs I love it. All of a sudden I’m like, Wait a minute No, I’m not gonna come back to St. Paul
