Under the Fair Work Act, grant proposals are funded at the rate that they are delivered. However, under certain circumstances, the Government will decide what amounts to a grant submission within two weeks, after which the Minister may decide whether they can be extended. The funding must not be paid. If an applicant complies with the deadlines set out in the Fair Work Act regulations, the amount must be received within six months of receiving the application and before the application is rejected.
What happens when you receive a grant
Once a grant is received, the applicant may apply to have it approved as granting a grant. The Minister for Fair Work may grant more than one grant a matter of law.
Where grants have been granted, the Minister will review them. The Minister for Fair Work will examine, if relevant, applications for grant submissions. The Minister for Fair Work will also consider the effect of other rules, regulations or other circumstances.
Who is notified if a grant is rejected
The Minister for Fair Work will notify the applicant by writing to them. The Minister for Fair Work will inform the applicant if they fail to comply with the Regulations or other rules or circumstances or other circumstances. The Minister for Fair Work will also notify the applicant if they file a petition to change the grant criteria of the application. If the Minister for Fair Work determines the change can not be made within 30 days of receipt of the application, the applications may not be accepted. The Minister for Fair Work will then notify the applicant as soon as practicable after they have received the Notice of Grant or notice of the change received. The Minister may revoke or limit the grant until the applicant has notified the Minister for Fair Work in writing.
