For years I’ve been playing the art of drawing, which has led me to my most advanced levels. But now I’m working on my own personal drawing, and I believe that I can make amazing illustrations on paper by simply adding a little bit of background or color into your drawing.
There is a lot of research I have going on at DD for inspiration and design. I hope that your readers will have a good time doing this research. I love that I can be as creative as I think I am, knowing that this isn’t always the case, so I can be better and more creative by making my drawings a bit less intimidating to the eye. I’ve always been obsessed with making an outline, so if you want yourself to make an outline in Illustrator and know the proper way to do so, you should know how to do it.
In my previous job at Dreamworks, I developed an outline to try and help a friend draw some sort of cover illustration. After a couple of hours I came up with this cover illustration and I felt it was just the right fit for me. I’d already created an outline and put it in Illustrator, and since my background and color scheme was very similar, I wasn’t actually using Illustrator in this illustration. I just looked online and came up with the idea to use a brush and paint a bit of a cover. This brush is really easy to clean-up, and gives a good outline that’s easy to read and draw. Just brush over that and you’ve got this basic cover illustration that has a clear and strong outline.
With that I found myself making the outline myself rather than trying to get an initial look as we approached illustration day as I did last year. I decided I would add background to that drawing as far as the background I’m drawing is concerned.
I thought it would be interesting to go deeper into designing my drawing and see what the effect would be on people’s eyes. I’ll be using Photoshop to create my outline, and then taking samples from my work to add to my designs as well as make it a lot more realistic. So in other words, how much of this work could make you happy and improve how you make something
So I would imagine a lot of it could be based on the basic concept of drawing a square, drawing a rectangle or whatever. As I said, I’m currently working on creating my own outline, and I’d love to get this illustration going, as well as helping others
