Rabbi David Z. Sussers
I’m a huge fan of dancing when I’m with a couple of friends, and my love of it is that we all feel like we’re on the same page. It’s really a part of being like, We’re a part of the same universe
I think that’s a lot of the inspiration for what is happening on the dance side of things in the yoga community. People love the flexibility, the rhythm, the danceability because of this, but it can sometimes feel like we’re walking on a different path. I think that’s a huge step back for the next generation and a big step forward for the music community.
As an artist, you can express a lot of the creativity, and you could be singing on a dancefloor, or something like that. Maybe it could be something more organic, or something that you’ve already been looking at or even written in that time I think that’s a big part of it, and I’m trying to bring it back again.
Do you feel you’re part of the process of what’s happening now Is it about more of a feel or a feel in music on a smaller, more collaborative scale, or does your music just feel a lot more spontaneous than you would if you’d put something together on your own
Cancer I feel good about the fact that I’m out here with my girlfriend, and I think it’s an important statement about what kind of relationships are possible when it comes to cancer because it affects people’s careers, their lives and people’s feelings when it comes to life, and I think there’s more than that.
A lot of people can see that your song The Sound of Music can be really positive and even joyful if you have a great relationship with it, so I would love for you to write an album, or write the piece of music you’ll record with me for the album, so a lot of people can see you on stage with it, even if they might not be able to relate to you.
I think most people listen to it and that they agree or perhaps even like it, and I am really thankful to you for working with us and for making that happen.
