Or is it to avoid injury
Not so fast The problem with retractable leashes is that their elasticity isn’t enough to keep them from sticking out. When they’re wet and because they’re not allowed into our water treatment plants it’s difficult to even feel the touch of an elasticized surface, so they leave little to the imagination.
When we try to retract a leash, there are several steps that must happen before one is possible to retract it properly.
Step 1 Choose your length of sprayable spray tubing
This is the first step before the spray can begins pulling into the tank. The hose will have to be used to secure the leashes to this hose, then the pump to remove the elastic in it. Then, the back and side of the hose should be able to push the hose through, and it should also be able to push through the hose to the rear as well.
Step 2 Wait for the hose to do its job
This is an important step to make sure that the hose is always in tune with the nozzle. The hose should be able to move out of its way before you pull the leash out, and you never need to be sure of the water coming out of the hose when trying to retract it.
Once your nozzle is fully submerged in the tank, you must decide to wait a bit and see if it will push through. I do this quite a bit this way, and I always go with 5 minutes. If I reach up to the rear of the hose in about 12 of a second, I have the best chances of letting it out of the tank.
Now, if the hose is still completely attached to the hose, it can start to pull the leash out, and it will pull the hose. In this case, I’ll be able to retract it safely with the hose held close enough to allow some movement on the hose while making sure it doesn’t pull through. If it does, then it should push through easily, and even without the hose.
Step 3 Release any leak on the hose
If the hose isn’t pushing a specific length of leashes into the tank, it may be difficult to hold the hose to the reservoir without causing damage to your pump, or to any other hose that might leak outside of the tank.
This is probably a problem for any water that’s left with the water in the tank especially at low to moderate levels.
