The UK Government is considering granting fuel export grants to companies operating more than 20,000 nuclear power plants at a cost of 4.8bn, according to a petition sent to the Secretary of State by a pro-nuclear group.
The UK Government wants the government to give them 30 days to provide a final report back to them on what is currently being considered. Some of its key recommendations were set out at a meeting at the Environment Agency in December 2017.

A video is available of a man running through a downtown Dallas church and shooting police officers and bystanders who witnessed him getting into an argument.
D.C. Pastor and Baptist pastor Michael Roper said he shot a Christian with his .410 caliber AR-15 rifle in what appeared to be a fight.

At the time of the shooting, Roper described a disbelieved confrontation with officers.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he had his hands cuffed by two officers. All three officers were described as friendly.
Police said the man was also seen talking to officers during the confrontation and saying a lot about the way he thought Christians were treated.
He told CNN he doesn’t understand why some of the officers were using the military for business, and has been questioned by police about the incident.
I would do anything necessary to stop these folks at the line of duty and get them to put the guns down, Roper, who is a member of the Fundamentalist Baptist Church of the U.S., said.
Roper pointed out that the armed group of people that tried to enter the church didn’t even know what the church was called.
The members of both groups were just not understanding anything else, he said. They wouldn’t do anything, or there would be a fight somewhere. It was not a fight. It was just a bunch of people at the end of the line of duty.
His Christian beliefs seem to have been put to rest in the video. A number of his videos which include images of a Bible that was found along a road near where the standoff took place appear to show people praying before gunfire rang out. There are also reports from fellow believers that the man ran for the police.
