Oh I’d love to do some of them.
How many artists are there and who are your influences
I’ve been doing commissions from my family since 2010 and I was one of the earliest in my family to get involved on commissions, but now I’m doing some for an older sister in Texas for her birthday.
You came to California for art school at age 11 and in college before you attended Columbia. Does she still have you going or do you always want to leave
That was my main inspiration for Columbia (they’ve also got my painting The End of the World) and Columbia is my major in visual arts as its a very unique place in the world. I love the atmosphere and the culture. It’s an art school in a very different city but I’m looking forward to college and having a chance to share that with the world.
What’s your favorite place to do college
I’ve always wanted to come to Columbia but I ended up spending a lot of time in San Diego where I worked in an art project and a lot of the work was just very close to home for me.
Do you want to work back there
Absolutely. I’d like to go back to the country where I’ve been. I’d like to bring some of what I learned there with me.
