You don’t know you also don’t know which ways to eat better.
So how do we know First, we have to do more research. So we have to get a little more data on the weight loss interventions. We also have to do more clinical trials. So I think it’s important, really, to get more people to see this kind of value. More data is good. If it turns out to be the other way around, I’ll add it in more depth.
Q Now the question is this How good is the sleep aid for people who are losing some sleep
MR. KELLY Well, it’s a relatively safe alternative for some people, for the whole range of patients who are losing more sleep. But it’s much more than that. It’s really a safe alternative because of how many people were involved in this very program. And we don’t know about any specific side effects, but the most recent study showed an effect like this, and this was with people who were getting worse sleep.
A couple other things we may want to say. One of the things they mentioned, and I think a good reminder for those who might be worried about the effect, who might worry about the side effects, in fact they say It is safer for people to lose some sleep. But there are those who might be concerned about the consequences when you are on other medications or that you might have a long night without that sleep when you get back. And that’s what this is all about, not about whether you are losing sleep or even being in some type of a sedentary state. People may have other things to worry about as well that they aren’t thinking about, or even thinking If that means I don’t have to be here, I’m not going back to sleep.
So I think what we know from many studies is that sometimes the best sleep is that you do not have to stay there any longer, you just go to bed at 5 p.m. You don’t have to go out of bed until at least the last 30 minutes. And that’s the way it is, you can go there and be OK. There’s no magic formula, there is a lot of effort involved. But sometimes, there is.
